Classes will start in only few days. It’s amazing how fast the previous year went by, but I am really looking forward to a brand new year.
Recently I read a quote – the opposite of depression is not joy, but expression. And let me explain how I interpret it. The person that shared the quote suggested we create as much as we can, because that really is a nature of expression, isn’t it? But as a young artist, hoping to one day “make it” in the world, I got very little joy from sharing my art. Eventually I gave it up, even though not completely. I stumbled on a class that thought me how to really express myself without feeling like I was constantly being criticized, or striving for perfection. Basically, creating for the joy of it, and that is when joy happens, at least it did for me.
I dint care if someone liked my art or bought it. I was painting for joy, and the joy happened.
I think the courses in the PYH+S classrooms, thought by artists from all over the world are created for that same reason. It does not mater if you are a good artists, or just starting in art, you want to create for the joy of it, and I think that is when magic happens. You are able to tap into the best part of your self that is free to express life in all its abundance.
